Acanthaspis inermis. Assassin Bug. Sitio Teril, Kapatagan. A predatory hunter of invertebrates, it has sharp venomous mouthparts. Their nymphs are known to carry debris for camouflage to defend against predators.

Dysdercus koenigii. Red cotton stainer on Sida acuta. Common Wireweed. Digos. Also host on Alcea rosea. Hollyhock and Hibiscus. Gumamela. Adults and older nymphs feed on cotton seeds as they emerge.

Euborellia annulipes. Ring-legged Earwig. Digos Dec 2024. The female lays up to fifty eggs in a batch and will protect these from predators and eat any fungi that may grow on them. The small young resemble adults and go through five instars until adulthood.

Leptoglossus gonagra. (Citron Bug). Leaf-footed Bug. Sulop Rice Fields. Jan 2025. Its host plants are varied and include mung beans, legumes, passion fruit, cacao, coffee and avocado.

Nezara viridula. (Southern green stink bug). Green shield Bug. Jan in Digos. It has a preference for certain species of legumes such as beans and soybeans. They have up to four generations in one year and up until their third moult they cluster together, perhaps to pool their chemical defences against predators such as ants.

Podopinae sp. (Turtle Bug). Stink Bug. Some species feed on plants.

Ricania speculum. Black Planthopper. Sitio Teril, Kapatagan. Lives in low elevation mountains preferring dark places. They suck sap from leaves.

Acanthocorus scaber. Leaf-footed Bug (Digos Nov 2024). A crop pest in China especially on Chili Peppers. A pararsitic wasp has been found on the bugs eggs.

Derbidae planthopper. The adults suck plant sap while the nymphs live mainly in decaying organic matter, for example under bark feeding on fungi.

Dysdercus poecilus. Cotton Stainer Bug on Urena lobata. Sitio Teril, Kapatagan. Sap suckers on cotton and common in the Philippines.

Graptostethus servus. Seed-eating Bug. (Sitio Teril, Kapatagan. Nov 2024).

Leptocorisa oratorius. Rice Ear Bug. Jan. Digos. Gives off an unpleasant smell in defense if disturbed. Females lay up to 200 eggs on the leaves of rice plants and can be a pest to crops. However pesticide control of the bug can be very harmful to Farmers, neighbor's and consumers if incorrectly applied.

Cletus schmidti. Stinkbug. Cebuano-Tayangaw. They have sap sucking mouthparts and feed on a variety of flowering plants.

Dysdercus fuscomaculatus. Cotton Stainer Bug. Balutakay Dec 2024. Considered a pest of cotton crops by both adult and nymph.

Ectrychotes sp. Millipede Assassin Bug. This bug feeds exclusively on millipedes. Feeding at night, they use a "grab, stab and paralyze" technique to avoid their victims defensive secretions, such as hydrogen cyanide.

Megymenum spinosum. Shield Bug. They feed on vegetables and fruit and protect themselves by emitting a foul smelling liquid.

Okiscarta uchidae. Sitio Teril, Kapatagan. A sapsucker doing no significant harm to plants or humans as it contains no toxins. Predated by birds, rodents, spiders and predacious insects, however their offspring are protected by foam (cuckoo spit).
